Liudmila Kondakova Accepted in French Academy of Arts
Greenwich, CT Chalk & Vermilion artist Liudmila Kondakova has been honored with admittance into the prestigious Academie Europeenne des Arts France (the French Academy of Arts). This international arts society, based in Paris, admits only a select few artists every year.
After the President of the Academie, Marion Danion, personally reviewed Ms. Kondakova’s work, Kondakova was extended the highly-sought invitation to join. In addition to the prestige of membership, the Academie sponsors one show a year, in which select members are given a chance to participate. This event draws artists on an international level, and is held in Europe in the spring.
Kondakova, whose European street scenes are widely admired, lived in Paris for a time as a young woman and returns there often. “I am very excited about being a part of this organization, and look forward to participation in the spring show with great anticipation.”
Chalk & Vermilion Fine Arts, one of America’s foremost publishers of contemporary fine art prints and sculpture, represents a number of today’s most popular artists from around the world, such as Fanny Brennan, Erté, Kerry Hallam, Liudmila Kondakova, Thomas McKnight, and Bruce Ricker.
